Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort Review: Who It's For and Is It Worth It?

By The Aruba Guide

Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort is a villa-style, part-timeshare property near Eagle Beach built around Aruba's only golf course. Here is who it fits and who should book its sister resort instead.

Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort is a villa-style, part-timeshare property on Aruba's Druif Beach, right next to Eagle Beach, built around the island's only golf course. It is an excellent option if you want more space than a standard hotel room offers, including features like a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and actual room to stretch out. You just have to be comfortable with the fact that the resort caters primarily to timeshare owners rather than traditional hotel guests. If you prefer a classic, all-inclusive beach resort experience without any timeshare undertones, you will likely be happier at its sister property, Divi Aruba All Inclusive, which we have reviewed separately.

Location and Beach

Divi Village sits on Druif Beach at J.E. Irausquin Blvd 93, sharing the same coastline as Eagle Beach with its calmer, wider sands. Because the resort itself faces the golf course rather than the ocean, you will need to walk or take the quick, frequent resort shuttle across the road to reach the water. This is an important detail to keep in mind, since you are not steps from the sand like you would be at some of the options on our Eagle Beach hotel list. Once you arrive at the beach, staff will set up your loungers and towels. The shore here is quiet and lined with low-key resorts, making it a favorite for travelers who want to avoid the larger crowds of Palm Beach. If you are still deciding between these two areas, our Eagle Beach vs Palm Beach guide breaks down the differences in detail.

Rooms and Villas

The accommodations are the main draw here. Instead of cramped hotel rooms, guests book studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom villas and golf villas, many of which feature private balconies or patios overlooking the gardens or fairways. The one-bedroom and larger units include full kitchens and in-unit washers and dryers. This is incredibly useful if you are traveling with family, sharing a trip with friends, or just dislike tiny hotel bathrooms. Guests frequently point out the value of having extra space and the ability to wash clothes mid-trip instead of overpacking. Because many of these units are individually owned, the decor and finishes vary, so do not expect the uniform, polished look of a major hotel chain. Instead, expect a comfortable, more residential feel.

Amenities

The resort's standout feature sits right next door: The Links at Divi Aruba, a 9-hole golf course with water hazards that make it surprisingly challenging for a resort layout. The clubhouse features a pro shop and a learning center where you can book a lesson or rent clubs for the afternoon. If you are not golfing, the property offers four freshwater pools, including one with a waterslide and another quieter pool reserved for adults. You also have access to lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, a water sports center for non-motorized equipment, and a beachfront rock climbing wall. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle runs to the Alhambra Casino for guests who want an evening out without renting a car.

Dining and the All-Inclusive Option

While Divi Village is not a dedicated all-inclusive resort, you can opt to add an all-inclusive package to your stay. This option grants you unlimited meals and drinks, along with free golf before 3:00 PM at Divi Links. Thanks to a free, continuous shuttle connecting the resort to its sister properties, Divi Aruba All Inclusive and Tamarijn Aruba, all-inclusive guests can dine at roughly seven different restaurants across the properties. This shuttle system is an incredibly convenient perk, offering plenty of dining variety without the need for a rental car. Keep in mind that Divi Aruba Phoenix, another Divi property on the island, is located in Palm Beach and is not part of this Druif Beach shuttle route, so it is not included in the dining plan.

Who It's For

This resort is an ideal choice for golfers who want to step out of their villa and straight onto the fairways. It also works well for families or larger groups who prioritize extra bedrooms and a kitchen over immediate beach access, as well as repeat visitors who want more space and lower nightly rates than beachfront options offer. You should also be aware that this is a vacation ownership resort. Timeshare sales presentations are a regular part of the business here, so do not be surprised if you are invited to attend one during your stay. If you prefer to avoid that environment, or if you want a fully beachfront property with a simple, built-in all-inclusive plan, Divi Aruba All Inclusive right next door is a much better option.
